Sony came back in the world of samrtphones with beautiful designs and latest technology. In the world of smartphones where many companies like Nokia, Samsung, Blackberry and many other competing each other Sony enter in this race. Now they are offering more and more smartphones in the market in competition with other companies for giving their best.
Sony Xperis SP is one of the latest offering of Sony. Its large 4.6” screen, Shiny display, Jelly Bean OS, Dual Core processor and beautifully equipped 8MP camera doubles the beauty of phone.

Retail Package:


Sony Xperia SP comes with standard retail package having usual set of accessories. When you open the packing you will find a charger and a USB cable for connecting your phone to your computer and a pair of headset.

Look and Feel:


Body of Sony Xperia SP is different from other smartphones, its body is combination of Glass, metal and Plastic which is not really awesome and not look clumsy it gives well look to phone. Dimensions of phone are 130mm, 67mm and 10mm in height, width and thickness. Weight of phone is 155g which is quite heavy and difficult to grip with one hand. You will feel its weight in your jean pocket while you are on the go or in the market. If someone wants to buy a slim, thin and light weight smartphone Sony Xperia SP would not be a good choice.
Coming to body layout of phone on front side above the screen there is front-facing VGA camera for making video calls is located along with earpiece, proximity sensor and ambient sensor. Below the screen there are home, back and menu capacitive touch keys.
On left side of phone there is bare microUSB port with no protective occur which may be covered with dust after sometime. You will find all physical keys on right side of phone including volume rocker, power/lock button and camera shutter key.
On the top side of phone there is 3.5mm audio jack is located. Bottom of phone is completely beared.
The back side of phone is made up of soft plastic, 8MP rear camera along with LED flash is located here speaker grilles are also located on left side of camera. When you remove the back cover you will find a place for SIM card and microSD card but battery is not replaceable.


Color and Display


Sony Xperia SP comes in three beautiful colors Black, White and Red.
Phone supports TFT capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors having 720 x 1280 pixels and 319 ppi which is good. Viewing angles are not great just average and sunlight legibility is also not good you have to set the angle for reading text in sunlight. Screen is also protected by Gorilla Glass .

Camera:


Sony Xperia SP is equipped with 8MP AutoFocus rear camera having LED flash and camera can shoot picture at a resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. Other features of camera are Geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, image stabilization, HDR, sweep panorama. Camera can also shoot HD video. Results of camera are good in sunlight but average in dim or low light conditions. VGA front facing camera is also located in phone for making video calls and video chat.

Processor and Memory:


Sony Xperia SP runs smoothly on Android OS, v4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) Operating System Dual-core 1.7 GHz . You can easily run many applications at a time with such great processor. It also supports Adreno 320 GPU by which you can easily play 3D and all types of games on it.
Internal memory of phone is 8 GB storage along with 1GB of RAM and microSD card slot is also enabled in phone for extending memory.

User Input:


Sony Xperia SP offers a customized on-screen full QWERTY keyboard. Typing on the portrait keyboard is fairly comfortable, the screen is big enough, keys are also big and easy to hit. On landscape mode even more bigger keyboard will be visible and by customize keyboard option you can change skin and can set a new key layout

Other Features


Other specs of Sony Xperia SP are SNS integration, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Java, GPU, NFC, Accelerometer, Proximity, Compass, Gyro and Light sensor.


Battery:


Phone is 4G supported with Li-Ion 2370 mAh battery. Stand-By time of phone is 650 Hours while Talk-Time is 15 hours.

Conclusion:


Sony Xperia SP is good smartphone of Sony. It comes with good features but the weight of phone is quite heavy and camera results are also not up to the mark, in the era of competition each and every small feature of phone matters. But Sony company tried their best for covering Android market beside these aspects with reasonable price Sony launch a beautiful phone in market.
